Pensacola Church of the Nazarene unites together families and individuals who have made Jesus Christ the leader of their life. We rejoice together in worship. We strive to make our faith stronger as we introduce others to the love of Jesus Christ. We aim to be an example of Christ like living through our worship, discipleship, kindness, teaching, training and more.
To win the lost and help them become fully devoted followers of Christ.
CHURCH HISTORY
Pensacola Church of the Nazarene was born out of revival meetings held by Revs. S.E. Spencer and N.G. Pulliam in 1916. With no regular pastor, a hall was rented in West Pensacola where a small Sunday school and midweek prayer meeting was held until 1918 when Rev. L.G. Adams became the first pastor.
The first property owned by the church was two lots on the 1500 block of West Jackson St. It was deeded to then current pastor “I.B. Cornelison, Trustee for the Church called the’Nazarene’” on August 10, 1920.
In December of 1981 our current property was purchased and in January 1986 a new church building was dedicated.
This is our history! God has been with us since 1916 and He will continue to be with us in the days and years ahead!
